Early-Season Trophy Forms a Window on Mallorcan Golf

Mallorcan

Mallorcan golf offering will be highlighted in November when the European Challenge Tour Grand Final rolls on to the island.

The culmination of a potentially career-changing season will happen at Club de Golf Alcanada from November 7th to 10th. For those wishing to experience the championship course for themselves, the Lindner Golf Resort Portals Nous (pictured at the top) is a great place to base oneself.

The four-star hotel underwent a major €6.5 milion renovation last winter. That included an extra ten rooms, refurbishment of the remaining 100, the launch of a free golfers’ shuttle to the clubhouse at the adjacent Royal Bendinat golf course, and the services of a golf concierge.

For golfers looking to get in some early-season action in the sun next year, there is the Lindner Mallorca Golf Trophy. And, with the hotel just 45 minutes from Alcanada, there’s an opportunity to add an extra round and discover what the professionals face.

The Mallorca Golf Trophy is a two-day, individual Stableford event, with golf at both Son Gual, the island’s undisputed number-one course, and T-Golf & Country Club (Poniente), one of Mallorca’s oldest and most respected courses.

An additional, non-competitive round of golf at Club de Golf Alcanada can also be organized at a preferential rate, via the resort’s golf concierge.

Located only a few minutes from Palma and the marina of Puerto Portals, Lindner Golf Resort Portals Nous’ bedrooms are adorned with African art objects, abstractly decorated carpets and rustic wooden stools.
