This year Club de Golf Alcanada will host its maiden high-profile professional event: The Challenge Tour Grand Final from November 7th to 10th.
By being selected for this prestigious event, it is said that Alcanada (the 16th hole pictured at the top) is finally receiving the recognition it deserves by leaders and influencers in the golf business.
The Mallorca course in the north of the island, near Alcudia, was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr, and opened in 2003. It is at a superb standard and have also received multiple awards throughout the golf industry.
But there was a collective will to raise the bar even higher, which paved the way for an extensive €700,000 renovation project over the last winter that included the replacement of all 18 greens.
The European Tour, which are the are the organizers of the Challenge Tour, with the Grand Final, selected Alcanada as the first host venue of the new season-ending Road to Mallorca event for the second tier of European golf.

In November, TV golf fans will be treated to those famous views over the Bay of Alcudia and the iconic lighthouse.
The work at the club has been recognized also outside of the professional golf circuit. Alcanada was placed at number 94 in the Golf World Top 100 and acnowleged on the Best Course in Europe-list by popular website www.1golf.eu for a remarkable ninth year running.
