St. Patrick’s Links at Rosapenna opens in Summer 2021

Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort located inDonegal in the Northwest of Ireland is traditionally closed over the winter. And will again open for the new season in April, the exact date to be advised due to Covid-19.

Two world class links courses and another 9-hole-course offer a total of 45 holes. In addition there extensive practice facilities, including a 9-hole-pitch-and-putt course and a 12-hole-Par-3-course, a real turf driving range partly with covered bay.

The resort is spread out over 1,100 acres in the sleepy fishing village of Downings, Co Donegal. Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort is the largest golf complex in Ireland . And with an opening date of 1893 also the oldest in the world.

The brand new St. Patrick’s Links

In addition to the great existing courses Sandy Hills (2003) and Old Tom Morris (1893), the family owned and operated resort will open a third 18-hole championship links course in the summer of 2021, named the St. Patrick’s Links (the 14th and 15th hole pictured above, [email protected]). The course is designed by famed American architect, Tom Doak,.

More great links courses can be found in the region such as Portsalon, Ballyliffin and Narin & Portnoo. Also Portstewart, Castlerock and Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland are within easy reach just across the border and can be reached within 1.5 to 2 hours drive along the scenic coastline.
