Verdura Resort in Sicily Opening New Villas

Verdura Resort

Golfers and families can book a post-lockdown retreat in style at Sicily’s Verdura Resort when the exclusive venue is opening eight new private villas set to add to its luxury accommodation portfolio in September 2020.

The sports and lifestyle destination is a Rocco Forte Hotel, and a good spot for players eager to combine world-class golf with the finer things in life.

Set on the estate’s hillside gently sloping down towards Verdura’s Resort’s private beach, each villa affords panoramic views of the Sicilian coast and Mediterranean while, at the same time, guaranteeing privacy and security.

The the villas have been designed by Olga Polizzi, Director of Design at Rocco Forte Hotels, with architecture inspired by Sicily’s natural beauty and incorporating the characteristic features that the region is known for: Traditional beams, flat roofs, external stairs and floor-to-ceiling windows. Arranged over two levels, each offers a different style and features three or four bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and light-filled living area spilling out to an ocean-view pool and verdant garden.

Guests staying at Verdura Resort’s new villas can take advantage of an array of exclusive services. Including private airport transfers; check-in directly at the villa; three bicycles and two golf buggies for exclusive use to move freely within the estate; non-alcoholic minibar along with a selection of Sicilian wines and delicatessen products; and access to the resort’s golf courses, award-winning Spa and dedicated concierge service.

The resort’s golf facilities include an  18-hole championship course and a par-three nine-hole executive course designed by world-acclaimed architect Kyle Phillips, a double-ended driving range and first-class academy. In addition, the venue features Italy’s only European Tour-approved Performance Institute, where players of all abilities can hone their swings using cutting-edge technology usually only on offer to Tour players.

Verdura Resort features 203 rooms and suites, all with a sea view, including the villas which offer a perfect solution for family holidays, each with its own private swimming pool. The resort has an extensive array of other luxury sports and lifestyle facilities, while guests also have the opportunity to sample a wide variety of gastronomy, wine, history and culture.
