Winning the 115th U.S. Open Championship at Chambers Bay, Jordan Spieth became the youngest player in history to win the first two Majors of the year back to back.
Spieth (photo by Chris Turvey) shared a four-way tie for the lead on Sunday morning and shot a spirited final round 69 to finish on -5 (275), one shot clear of the field.
In previous appearances at the U.S. Open, the Texan collected low amateur honors in 2012 and finished T17 as a professional in 2014 at Pinehurst Resort.
Spieth adds his name to a notable list of players that includes Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods – to have outlasted arguably the deepest field in American tournament golf.
