The Great Big Bertha Returns in September

The iconic Great Big Bertha Callaway driver is back. Featuring what Callaway claims is the fastest face and most efficient head design ever for easy, long and straight drives.

Callaway has optimised the Great Big Bertha’s multi-material chassis to generate more head speed for a wide spectrum of swing types. By this, they say it’s the most complete total performance driver, bearing the iconic Great Big Bertha moniker.

The Great Big Bertha also features a thinner face, leading to higher ball speeds on both centre and off-centre hits.

The addition of Adjustable Perimeter Weighting, via a 10 gram sliding weight, not only adds greater stability to the Great Big Bertha, but also gives golfers virtually unlimited draw and fade bias fitting options. A refined, shorter track promotes more draw bias than ever before, to give golfers maximum dispersion control, as well as exceptional forgiveness, to help keep shots on line more often.

Chip Brewer, Chief Executive Officer at Callaway Golf, said: “The original Great Big Bertha was iconic, it was the driver to own. The new Great Big Bertha will create a similar legacy, it will step-change performance for everyone.”

Tune loft, lie and face angle

An Optifit hosel lets golfers choose from eight different configurations to further tune loft, lie and face angle of the Great Big Bertha to create the most complete, customisable multi-material product the company has ever produced.

Following the success of the Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Black Diamond Driver on Tour, Callaway is also launching the new Big Bertha Alpha 816 Double Black Diamond Driver, which will appeal to the more accomplished player looking to increase ball speed and refine shot shaping capabilities.

This driver features new Dual Gravity Core Chambers to give better players exactly what they need to fine tune their club performance. If golfers are looking for a neutral or draw ball flight to work the ball with more control, they can pick either the left or right chamber. Then they can set the Gravity Core up or down depending on where they hit the ball for maximum ball speed and distance.

The addition of a faster, deeper, face and OptiFit 8-way adjustable hosel creates a driver delivering the ultimate combination of distance and shot-shaping control for better players.
