Due to the extreme weather situation in January and February some of the most famous Scottish golf courses have snuggled up under a winter wonderland white blanket. This is a rather rare phenomenon that does not happen very often.
The top image (photo by Castle Stuart Golf Links), as well as the article’s second image, show the 13th hole at this great Inverness course, directly located on Moray Firth.
At Castle Stuart golfers may stay in luxurious lodges directly on the golf course.
Royal Dornoch show two faces
The second pair of winter/summer comparison images are from Royal Dornoch Golf Club a little further up the road. Both images ar taken from a similar perspecctive on hole 17.
Both the courses are recognized as world class championship courses, always ranked among the top in international golf course rankings.
